Counter top dispensers are a secondary option for dispensing modular ice machines heads. These

units are typically needed for high-volume such as self-service drinks at QSRs or in healthcare settings

for use with patients needing hydration.

Countertop Ice Dispensers

High capacity production is needed

in dispensers and Omcan provides

of any high capacity requirement.

Hoshizaki’s Cubelet dispenser is com-

bined with a water dispenser, great for

many applications specifically health-

care. This model comes with lower

buttons for ADA access and a 10 ¼” cup

clearance for easy use for everyone.

Air Cooled vs Water Cooled

Water Cooled units use a water intake line to run water along the condenser coils. The condenser coils

then release heat into the water and the hot water drains out of the unit. These units have much higher

water usage than an air cooled machine of up to 5x the amount of water that effectively goes down the

drain. But they can produce more ice in a 24-hour period and are not as susceptible to temperature

fluctuations of the ambient air around the machine. Water cooled units are no longer allowed in new

construction in most municipalities, but they are often “grandfathered-in” such that existing machines

can be replaced. It’s important to note that water-cooled units are not Energy Star rated due to their

water use.
