Slushy/Frozen Beverage Dispensers
These dispensers come in two styles: a barrel
freezer option and a hopper/bowl type option.
These two options are for non-carbonated drink
mixes. These are great for fruit smoothies, infused
slush for cocktails and ice coffees.
The MP1 produces higher throughput than the
FM2; however both are capable of keeping product
frozen and ready to serve. Decisions made in this
category will be made based on your volume and
throughput. Your local RED Dealer will be able to
guide you in the right direction.
Juicers
While there is certainly a place for the manual lever action juicers in commercial foodservice, these are
mainly used for citrus for behind the bar. For our purposes, we will focus on the electric commercial
juicers. This category breaks down into three different types of juicers: Centrifugal juicers, Citrus
Juicers and Masticating Juicers.
Vollrath has an excellent option for manual juicing for lower volume needs such as crafted cocktails or
infusions in a dessert.
Centrifugal Juicers are juicers that use speed to
breakdown or shred fruits and vegetables using
centrifugal force to separate the solid pulp and the
liquid juice. These are ideal for high volume needs
and ease of operation/cleanability.
Masticating Juicers, also known as cold juicers,
use pressure created by an auger to force the juice
from the fruit/vegetable. These units are often the
best option for quality of the product when a variety
of items are juiced on a regular basis.
Citrus Juicers are specifically for juicing citrus fruits
such as oranges, grapefruit and other citrus fruits.
